These days, the television is in a worse daylight. Ratings decline more and more, because people are more on the Internet nowadays. Yet, I am still very interested in TV. A few years ago I always liked to imagine myself being Dione de Graaff, a sport reporter. Now I would like to see myself working behind the scenes. The combination of music and television is still fun. I seems really great to make music, documentaries, do interviews with artists and to have backstage reports shows.

Televisie

Recently I bought a book by Banksy. He is an unknown British graffiti artist whose artwork wants to leave a message. His work always attracts a lot of attention from people on the street and the media. You can recognize his work by his humorous images with a controversial and rebel edge. In every piece of his art there is a message directed to the society. Besides the works of Bansky, I can really enjoy Andy Warhol. I'm totally agree with his statement ''Art is anything you can get away with'' But I also like the old masters like Rembrandt or Van Gogh. In May I visited the Museum del Prado and Reina Sofia in Madrid, with art by Picasso, Goya and Dhali. The interesting and beautiful thing about these artists is that they show you how to look in a different way at certain things.

Art

In addition to festivals, I also like to go to concerts. With concerts again I like the surprise factor. I was very surprised by The Tallest Man On Earth. He was standing alone on stage with only his voice, his guitar and a very beautiful song. Everybody in the audience was still and you couldn’t hear a needle drop and it was like everybody was sharing the same feeling. These are great moments. These things keep me going. Chef'Special in the Effenaar, I remember was also very impressive.

Concerts

Since a few years, every summer I go to music festivals. Pinkpop, Rock Werchter, Solar, Pitch, but also very small or emerging festivals, like Mama’s Pride in Geleen, I like to discover. It is a lot of fun. I really enjoy this way of having fun . Enjoying music together with friends . A festival atmosphere isn't comparable with something else. The best thing of a festival is that you can be surprised by an act. I was very surprised by the appearance of Pink. She was inside of a big plastic ball singing and rolling over the audience or she was hanging on cables and flew like a Peter Pan over the audience. (I've touched her). The next festival will be Pinkpop 2015, with performances by Pharell Williams, Selah Sue, Kensington, Avicii, De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig en Robbie Williams.

Festivals

It always played an important part in my life. It is hard to imagine life without music. Listening to music, going to concerts and festivals and collecting CD's are the most favourite things I like to do. But besides singing in the shower, I've never made music by myself. Until recently I have started playing the guitar. I never knew it was so much fun to do. It was hard in the beginning though ,but now I can even play songs from my favourite artists, Ed Sheeran or John Mayer. It would be great to write my own songs and perform them to people. It's a nice feeling that you can express yourself in a musical and creative way. Music also brings people together. If you are feeling alone or sad, music can really cheer you up. This always fascinated me . With just a voice, a guitar and a song.
