CO- IEMES

I´m a student at the Fontys Academy for Creative Industries in Tilburg. Here I am studying CO- IEMES, which stands for Communication International Event Music Entertainment Studies. I will be trained to become a communication expert, who is specialized in developing new, creative formats for in the event, music and entertainment industries. In this study I write also communication plans, I work with media, do some graphic design and I organize events. So music, media, design and art play an important role in my study. 
 

 

Competences

As a part of my education at CO IEMES I have to develop five competences. When I graduate after my fourth year, I have to be able to show that I’ve grown in these five aspects and became a professional when it comes to all five competences.

Internship at Buutvrij Creative coffeebar

I did my internship at a creative coffeebar in the middle of Tilburg. BUUTVRIJ is a place for the coffee and tea lover and is also a breeding ground for young creatives and designers. It is a bar where you can also get a delicious lunch. Fresh, healthy and honest come first. It is an authentic coffeebar where everything does not have to be perfectly straight, but which lived as a second livingroom.

 

For my internship I did some graphic design, communication, marketing, and I organized a few events. For Example I organized an Open Mic evening, where eight acts could expose their talent to an audience. As surprise I played guitar together with a friend of mine, who performed that night. After the Open Mic, there were two DJ's who played some lovely music for us.
